Many business owners have more time on their hands than they’d like right now, thanks to COVID-19.
Here are five ways to use that downtime productively:
1) Create marketing content for use down the road… the number-one excuse I hear for why business owners can’t create marketing content is “I’m too busy.” Well, here’s your chance. Create a Video FAQ series, launch a podcast, produce a library of “Special Reports,” or finally write that book you’ve been talking about forever. These are resources that will pay dividends for years after coronavirus is a distant memory.
2) Audit and update your website… is your messaging up-to-date? Are the services and products that you’ve listed still accurate? Do your forms and links still work? Is your blog current? Do you have a “Lead Magnet” that you give away in order to capture contact information? Is the design still fresh and relevant?
3) Call clients and referral sources… just to check-in on them and see how they’re doing. Invest in those key relationships… this is the lifeblood of your business!
4) Launch an email newsletter… I’ve been saying for years that a regular email newsletter is one of the easiest, most cost-effective marketing tactics available to business owners. It’s truly low-hanging fruit, and yet so many businesses don’t have one. (Watch this video to learn how to get started.)
5) Create a real marketing plan... The best thing you can do for the long-term health of your business is to create a real, sustainable, intentional marketing plan to generate new prospects, leads, customers, and clients. This is my specialty. Schedule a Discovery Call and let’s create a plan to grow your business so you don’t have to “wing it” any longer.
Don’t waste this time!
